ABOUT THE FILM and it's FILMMAKERS:
Andy Dick (director/actor/writer) and Marshall Cook (actor/producer)
“Danny Roane: First Time Director” is the first directorial effort from comedian/actor Andy Dick. The film was co-produced, co-directed, and co-edited by Marshall Cook. Dick and Cook also star in the film as well and will be in attendance for Q & A and Meet & Greet following the film. Together the two bring different backgrounds and insight on how to be successful in the entertainment industry. The film was just completed and premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 11th. Edinboro University of Pennsylvania will be one of the first screenings worldwide.
Andy Dick, best know for his over-the-top comedic routines, has been in the industry for over 20 years appearing in such films as “Reality Bites”, “Old School”, “Zoolander”, “Roadtrip”, and “The Cable Guy”. He has hosted and starred in several shows for MTV and regularly appeared in television programs “Newsradio”, “Just Shoot Me!”, and “The Ben Stiller Show.”
Marshall Cook graduated from Occidental College in 2003 majoring in film and new media production and minoring in theater. He then landed his first acting role in “Jeepers Creepers 2” and directed his first short film “AdCorp, Inc.” starring Dick and himself and recently won the Grand Prize at an Emerging Filmmakers event for his work on the film.
